Mediterranean wedding celebration

Rafael & Caroline

May 1st, 2027 · Cartagena, Spain

To Our Favorite People

We are so excited to celebrate this day with you. Your presence in our lives has meant the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for the love and support you have given us along the way. Many of you are traveling from far away—from Denmark, the United States, Brazil, and beyond—and that generosity of spirit means more than we can say. We can't wait to dance the night away with you in Cartagena.

Our Story

Rafael and Caroline

We met in Copenhagen in 2019—Rafael had moved there for work, and Caroline was studying. A shared love of good food, long walks, and terrible puns turned into something neither of us expected. We’ve since built a life between Spain and Denmark: olive groves and hygge, siestas and cycling in the rain.

Cartagena is where Rafael’s roots are and where we want to say yes in front of the people who matter most. We’re getting married in the Basilica de la Caridad, then celebrating at Finca El Jardin—good wine, a long lunch, and a party under the Mediterranean sky. Thank you for being part of our journey; we can’t wait to share this day with you.

Discover Cartagena

The City of Cultures

Cartagena harbor and port

A 3,000-Year-Old Port

This natural harbor is the reason Cartagena exists. From Hannibal setting sail to conquer Rome, to the 18th-century walls, to the modern yachts today. It is the perfect place for a sunset walk along the "Muralla del Mar."

Castillo de la Concepción with peacocks

The Castle in the Sky

Located on the highest hill. A local secret: it is affectionately known as "El Castillo de los Patos" (Castle of the Ducks) because of the peacocks that roam the gardens.

Take the 'Ascensor Panorámico' (Panoramic Lift) from the street level to avoid the hike and get the best view of the bay.

Roman Theatre of Cartagena

The Hidden Theatre

A majestic 1st-century theatre that was lost for centuries and discovered by accident. It stands right next to the Old Cathedral, symbolizing the city's layers of history.

Museums & Culture

ARQUA Museum of Underwater Archaeology

ARQUA (National Museum of Underwater Archaeology)

Home to the "Odyssey" treasure. A modern architectural gem on the waterfront.

The Roman Forum District

The "Pompeii of Cartagena," where you can walk through ancient Roman baths and banquet halls.

Calle Mayor modernist architecture

Calle Mayor (Modernism)

The stunning 19th-century architecture (Grand Hotel, Casino) that shows the city's wealthy mining past.

Crespillos crackers

Salty, crunchy, wafer-thin crackers made with paprika. The typical snack found in every bakery.

It is much more flavourful than Paella.
